Journeys to Milwaukee

Journeys to Milwaukee, a product of the Young Jewish Dramatists’ Project facilitated by director Reva Fox, was also initially screened on May 11, 2010 during the Jewish Lens Exhibit. This project focused on creatively telling the stories of Jewish immigrants relocated from the slums of the East Coast to Milwaukee by the Industrial Removal Office between 1889 and 1922. Journeys to Milwaukee is a collection of four dramatic monologues that were researched, written, and performed by the Young Jewish Dramatists’ Project at the Jewish Museum Milwaukee. The video includes a performance of the student monologues, music and still photos of Jewish immigrants.

Journeys to Milwaukee was funded through generous grant from the Covenant Foundation.
