My Mom

by Baylah Cohen

Someone who has had a great impact on me is my mom. She has taught me to be kind and respectful to people. I think my mom is a really good parent. When I see my mom being kind to people, then I’m kind to others.

My mom has made me a Tzedakas just like my Bubby. She encourages me to do good things. She also encourages me to do mitzvos around the house. Whenever my mom tells me to do something, I do it right away. For example, when she says, “Baylah, please wash the dishes and dry them,” I will do whatever she wants me to do. I appreciate her in every way.

Teachers at Yeshiva Elementary School asked some of their 6th, 7th and 8th graders to write about something that had made a major impact on their lives.

Here are their intriguing responses.
